For many organizations, telecommuting just makes sense. Save resources- money, time, energy. Save on office space, administrative costs and real estate expenses. In addition, telecommuting is becoming a great employee recruitment tool with the benefits it presents to them.

As the telecommuter, are you set up for success? Think about the following:
- Is the same training offered for those onsite and off?
- Equal opportunities for advancement for remote workers.
- Intentional corporate culture to support everyone.
- Are there protocols and standards for electronic communication?
- Finally, is there a telecommuting policy in place?
